Since 1979, Chef Zorba's Restaurant, located in the tiny business district on East 12th Avenue, has been a favorite gathering spot for Congress Park neighbors and food lovers throughout Denver.

Certainly, the warm and friendly atmosphere is part of the appeal.  Inside, the décor is relaxed and charming, with comfortable booths, tables for large parties, and a lunch counter offering a front-row view of the bustling kitchen.  Outside, Chef Zorba’s offers a relaxing street side patio—the perfect opportunity for guests to take advantage of Denver’s ideal climate.  And the wait staff is not only casual and welcoming but also super-efficient and determined to make every diner’s experience special and memorable.

But, no doubt, the main draw of Chef Zorba’s is the incredible menu featuring traditional American & Greek fare—burgers, salads, sandwiches—and classic breakfast dishes served all day.

Also, you’'ll be hard pressed to find a better gyro sandwich in town.  We start with unwavering, top-quality gyros, juicy and tender and shaved off the spit to order.  Our pita bread is fluffy on the inside with just the right amount of crispness on the outside.  Then it’s topped and rolled with freshly diced tomatoes, onions and a generous portion of cool, creamy tzatziki, prepared daily from imported Greek yogurt.  Other classic Greek favorites made from scratch at Chef Zorba’s include our Famous Athenian Salad, spinach pie and, of course, homemade honey-drenched baklava.

And in a town where many popular breakfast establishments require up to an hour-long wait or longer, at Chef Zorba’s you can walk right in, place your order, and enjoy breakfast in the blink of an eye—even on Saturdays and Sundays.  The savory, homestyle breakfast fare rivals anything your Grandma would make.  The freshest of eggs…the fluffiest pancakes…huge omelets…and hash browns hand-grated from real russet potatoes and crisped up to order.  Chef Zorba’s also offers several unique skillet breakfasts, benedicts and a breakfast burrito smothered in homemade green chili unlike any in Denver.  And if you’re looking for classic American-style fare with a Greek twist, order up a side of gyros and you’re all set.

In addition to the delectable food, our guests also choose from a wide selection of tasty Greek wines and beers, alongside other favorite libations from Chef Zorba’s full bar.  Why not bring a friend for brunch and share a carafe of tasty bloody marys or mimosas

So…we invite you to come experience one of Denver’s dining treasures and see for yourself why so many guests over the past four decades have made Chef Zorba’s the institution it is today.  We're still family owned and operated and like to think of our staff and guests as family, so once you dine with us, you’ll feel like a part of that family.  We hope to see you soon!
